About TrackWest

One number. One operator. No dispatcher.

The person who walks your site and writes the estimate is the person in the seat when the machine shows up. That is the whole pitch, and it is how TrackWest has worked since the first job.

Who you are dealing with

TrackWest is owned and run by Corey Davison out of Newport, on State Route 20, a mile from the Idaho line. When you call, you talk to Corey. When the machine shows up, Corey is in the seat. When something changes mid-job, you get a straight answer the same day from the person who can act on it.

Home ground

The lots around Newport, Priest River, and the towns between are not flat suburban rectangles. They are pine slopes, river-bottom sand along the Pend Oreille, glacial cobble on the benches, and hardpan that changes ten feet over. We dig this ground every week, and we know which lots hold water in April and which ones turn to rock a foot down. That is what a written estimate from a local site walk is worth.

What we do

The dirt work behind a new home or shop: clearing, rough grade, foundation excavation, septic excavation to the health district's design, utility trenches, drainage, and driveways. Plus the smaller jobs a property needs: ponds, demolition, hauling, and fencing. Most of it comes together on one estimate as new home site work.

On the trailer

Compact equipment sized for residential lots and tight access, which is most of what this country is.

  • Cat 303.5E2: mini excavator
  • Track loader: grading and clearing
  • Tracked dump buggy: tight backyards
  • Dump truck: hauling in and out
  • Plate compactor: backfill in lifts

How we work with your other trades

We are usually the first crew on a site and we hand it to the next one. Your builder gets a pad cut to the plan, checked with a level, staked and stringed. Your septic designer gets holes and trenches that match the permit. Your concrete crew gets a base they can form on the next morning. We would rather ask a question before we dig than fix it after.

Where we work

Newport is home. Diamond Lake, Cusick, Usk, and Deer Park on the Washington side; Oldtown, Priest River, Blanchard, and Spirit Lake across the line in Idaho. See the service area.

Corey walks the site, looks at the access, the soil, and where the water goes, and puts the scope and price in writing. No pressure, no invented urgency. If the job is not a fit for our equipment, we will say so.

We call back the same business day. Photos help: text them to the number above.
